Your adventure begins...

We invite lovers of historical fiction to a free read of  the stories that went into the making of AN INVOLUNTARY KING: A TALE OF ANGLO SAXON ENGLAND.  They say only about 2% of books sell over 500 copes -- and at last count this novel has sold over 700!  Could it be the intriguing origin of the stories?  Or is it the dashing hero?  Perhaps it is the humorous Irish bards, or the recreation of Anglo Saxon battle.  It could be the sexy villain, the humor, the intricate plot, or could it be something else?

Christopher Hawthorne Moss wrote this book under the name Nan Hawthorne, based on stories he and a preteen friend wrote in the mid-1960s.  It's changed a lot since then, not the least because Christopher began to study Anglo Saxon England and to incorporate his new understanding into what hitherto had been a run of the mill pseudo-medieval tale.

Here is your chance to see just how this novel came t be, how the characters grew into the vivid personalities they became, and how the author's wish to keep them and their histories alive brought about this fun, engaging and memorable story.
